Counselling committee conducts work visit to Limbang

The Guidance and Counselling Committee Cluster 2 recently conducted a short working visit to Daerah Limbang, led by Cikgu Ahmad bin Haji Hussein of STKRJ Lambak Kiri Secondary School. A total of 53 school counsellors, assistant counsellors, parents and teachers were among the people involved in the work visit.

The entourage started with a visit to the Department of Resident, Limbang Division. During the visit, the delegation heard a briefing from the Deputy Resident (Development), Mr Elvis anak Didit on the development and progress of Limbang.

It was followed by a speech by Mohd Dzul Badzli bin Abdullah, Limbang District Education Officer, touching on the development of schools in Limbang.

Mohd Dzul Badzil then talked about the management and the respective roles of the parents and teachers in the schools. The visit to the Department of Resident also saw a souvenir presentation to the Deputy Resident from the group leader.

The group was later brought to visit the National Religious Secondary School Kubang where the Acting High School Principal, Mr Jaffri bin Haji Mail briefed the roles and responsibilities of the school counsellor, Rapiah bin Barudin.

The visiting delegation was also taken on a tour around the school premises and visited the resources and counselling rooms among others.

The last stop of the visit was to the National Kubong Secondary School where Ms Mary Ng Siew Huan talked about the Management of Academia and the students' activity classes.

The main objective of the visit was to broaden the knowledge of the individuals as well as to strengthen the relationship among the members of the association
