PIHM Secondary School held an 'Outstanding Students Award' ceremony 2009 at the school's hall, yesterday morning.
The guest of honour was Pengiran Haji Mohammad bin Pengiran Haji Othman, village chief of Kampong Masjid Lama, Pelumpong and Sabun.
The ceremony began with a mass recital of the surah al-fatihah led by Ustaz Haji Norazali bin Hj Sapar.
In her welcoming speech, the school principal, Ms Lim Siew King, congratulated the students of Years Seven and Eight as well as Secondary Four and Five of 2009 who received awards during the ceremony.
She said the students achieved good results last year.
The highlight of the ceremony was the prize presentation by the guest of honour to outstanding students and best student awards for those who excelled in the GCE 'O' levels and PMB examinations.
The best student for the GCE 'O' Levels 2009 was Norafidah bte Sawal who scored 9 'O's while the best student award for the PMB exams went to Teo Yah Sze who achieved six distinctions.
