PIHM School, Serasa organised a two-in-one event yesterday to celebrate the 26th National Day and the newly appointed school prefects for the 2010 academic year at its multi-purpose hall.
The event began with the singing of the national anthem followed by a speech from Dyg Lim Siew King, the school principal.
In her remarks, she expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the students' participation during the recent 26th National Day march past event and parade. The principal also stressed on the importance of school prefects to become role models for other students and uphold the good image of the school.
A mass reading of the 26th National Day oath by the pupils, led by the newly appointed head prefect, was also held during the celebration.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of certificate of appointments and the prefect jackets to newly appointed prefects as well as certificates of acknowledgment to former school prefects from the principal.
